Kondisi ini dijelaskan oleh Erwin (Deputi Gubernur BI) menjadi kendala untuk mendapatkan data valid untuk analisis guna perumusan kebijakan. Hal ini diungkapkan dalam acara bertajuk Building pathways for Policy-Making with Big Data yang dilaskanakan berkerjasama dengan Bank for Internasional Settlements (BIS) Irfing Fischer Community (IFC)
